Streaks: Habit Tracker Privacy Policy

Overview

Streaks: Habit Tracker (“Streaks”) is built privacy-first: no account, no server, no tracking. This policy explains exactly what the app does with your data.

Data we collect

We do not collect your personal data. Streaks contains no third-party SDKs of any kind — no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising — and the app makes no network requests. There is no server behind Streaks; your data cannot be sent to us because nothing is ever sent anywhere.

Data stored on your device

Your habits, completion history, and settings are stored locally on your device using Apple’s SwiftData framework. The habit widget reads this data through a private App Group shared only between Streaks and its widget on your device.

iCloud backup (optional)

Streaks keeps an automatic backup of your data in your personal iCloud account (iCloud Key-Value Store), along with rotating local backup files on your device. This backup belongs to your Apple ID and is handled under Apple’s iCloud terms — we have no access to it. You can also export or import your data manually as a file; exported files go only where you choose to share them.

Notifications

Habit reminders and “Streak in Danger” alerts are local notifications scheduled entirely on your device. Nothing about them leaves your device.

Purchases

The optional one-time Premium unlock is processed by Apple through the App Store (StoreKit). We never see your payment details; Apple’s privacy policy governs the transaction.

Permissions

Streaks may ask for notification permission (reminders) and photo library access (only used when you import a backup file). Both are optional.

Data deletion

Use “Clear All Data” in Settings, or delete the app, to remove all local data. iCloud backup data can be removed by clearing the backup from your iCloud storage.

Children’s privacy

Streaks does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new “last updated” date.
